Prologue

Now, before you leave the Rila monastery please, after all you have learned sit somewhere outside, with a nice view, and look around you. Let your imagination take you again on this journey through time, to see all the history of this place, and to see how this complex, is standing here for centuries witnessing so many events, changes, and different peoples and yet it is not seeing any changes at all. People are coming with the same needs, dreams, wishes, desires, hopes, and necessities, and if the monastery was even 5000 years older it would have been the same to it again. People are people and regardless of how much back in time we look into, the change is cosmetic. But let’s hope, that one day we will evolve into something better than average humans. But as we said faith is a huge power and has pushed people to do unbelievably stupid things but also, sometimes great ones. Let’s wish that the great ones will prevail soon!
